Boys Before Flowers star Kim Joon (or Kim Jun), also known as the rapper of three-member pop group T-Max, is about to launch his first solo song. On July 7, he released the teaser video for his upcoming single, “준비 OK” — the title literally translates to “Ready OK” but is also a play on his own name, reading “Jun Be OK.”
The video shows Kim Joon putting on a tougher face than he showed as his gentle, friendly Woo-bin character in Boys Before Flowers, and also features BBF buddy Kim Hyun-joon.
The song “Jun Be OK” was composed by famous songwriter and music PD Hwang Sung-jae; Kim Joon wrote the lyrics himself. The track goes on sale on July 9 as part of T-Max’s new album, “Single Collection,” which features each member in a song of his own.
(I can’t decide if I think the video is cool or funny. I’m not sure if this was the intent, but after seeing the guys acting in the drama, it sorta looks like goofy, campy fun to me. But hey, that’s not a bad thing.)
